We are a team of visual storytellers who with our camera, passion and big ideas help businesses and brands tell their story. Throughout our journey, we’ve remained adaptable and responsive to the ever-changing tides and flows of the market, supporting our clients in their growth.

Bonjour! I’m Maxime — Co-founder, Creative Director, Producer, and occasionally the guy in the editing chair at Beyond Reach Productions.

If the “Bonjour” didn’t give it away — yes, I’m French! My journey into video production started back in 2019 while living in Avignon, France. In my teenage years, I was competing as a kitesurfer and began documenting stories along the way. I quickly fell in love with visual storytelling — whether I was filming athletes, producing brand content, or working with companies to bring their message to life, I realized how powerful stories could be in building community, driving change, and connecting people.

In 2022, I relocated to the Grey Bruce region with my Canadian wife and our young son. I continued creating videos for local businesses and organizations. Then, everything changed during a visit to a production company, something clicked. I knew it was time to build something of my own — something rooted in passion, purpose, and meaningful storytelling.

In 2023, alongside my amazing business partner Cala, we launched Beyond Reach Productions in Owen Sound, Ontario.

Hi there! I'm Cala — Co-Founder, Project Manager & Brand Strategist at Beyond Reach Productions.

From a young age, I've been captivated by the art of storytelling. I live in two worlds. One is a world of books; a world of stories. I've pickpocketed with Oliver Twist on the streets of London, hiked the slopes of Mordor, fought vampires, and had my heart broken (and put back together) by Jane Austin. The other world? It's where I take that same magic and use it to help people and brands tell their own unforgettable stories.

When the opportunity came to partner with Maxime to launch Beyond Reach Productions, I got a feeling that it was time to begin a new chapter. One filled with risk, passion, creativity and adventure. The road is winding (with a few plot twists), but our story is still being written, and I can't wait to see where it takes us next. Who will we meet? What stories will we tell? What impact will we leave?

At Beyond Reach Productions, I get to combine my love of narrative with visual creativity, by drafting storylines, scripting out ideas, designing storyboards, and diving into the heart of what makes a message stick. With a background in creative writing, project management, and a degree in law and visual arts, I bring a mix of artistry, attention to detail, critical thinking and the ability to structure compelling narratives. While I didn't pursue a legal career, my years of experience now helps me guide our clients through structured, strategic storytelling with clarity and confidence.

I'm passionate about helping people uncover what makes them them, and then building a story around that. I love helping clients define their voice, connect with their audience, and build trust through powerful visual storytelling.

I grew up a farmer's daughter, which means I know the value of hard work, grit and how to reverse a tractor without panicking, haha. That same energy is what I bring to each project, a grounded mindset and a whole lot of heart.
